"S-SAD
diffraction data phasing of macromolecule single crystals from home and
Synchrotron X-ray sources" , second edition. The course wil
teach state of the art methods and protocols in the collection,
processing, scaling and phasing of S-SAD diffraction data from crystals
of macromolecules aimed at obtaining the best possible interpretable
map prior to model building.
To apply to the course, send by e-mail a short CV and a letter
describing your experience in crystallography and how you expect to
profit from the course (not more than 250 words) in one-PDF file to the
organisers (sanctis@itqb.unl.pt and mateus@itqb.unl.pt) before the 31st
of March.

The
course will take place at the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e
Biológica (ITQB).
The ITQB is located in Oeiras, approximately 20 Km from Lisbon.
>Arriving
by taxi
On
arrival at the Lisbon airport, please go to the Visitors and Convention
Bureau where there is a Taxi Voucher service from where you can get a
taxi without queuing (The price of this service is around 35 Eur). Or
queue for a taxi from the taxi rank immediately outside the arrivals
section.
>By
Bus/Train
There
is a shuttle bus service from the Lisbon airport to Cais Do Sodre which
costs around 3 Eur. From Cais do Sodre take the
train to Cascais, and stop at Oeiras,
where the ITQB is located.
>Hotel
location
The
hotel
Praia Mar is located in
Carcavelos, few kilometers away from ITQB. You can reach the Hotel
(B) from the Carcavelos train station (A), one stop
after the Oeiras one (see http://www.cp.pt).
A bus will pick you up every morning from the Hotel to attend to the
course.
